At the event ArtsNFlies.com fly tier Jaiem Fleischmann (center) and IGFA record holder Capt. Bob Rocchetta presented New York Senator Charles "Chuck" Schumer with a customer-made red/white/blue fly as a symbol of the sport fishing tradition and industry on Long Island.

Senator Schumer promised his support against proposed legislation to by the Federal Ocean Policy Task Force that would ban saltwater and freshwater fishing across vast stretches of coastal and inland water ways.
