Fly Selection Tips

It can be a overwhelming task to choose the right fly for your fishing needs. But we are here to help you!

The following tables are your quick online guide to helping you select the proper style and pattern of fly. The first table shows the relationship between different types of bait and fly patterns. The second table cross references particular game fish with fly patterns.

In all cases these are only suggestions! On any given day or night saltwater game fish can be taken on a wide range of fly patterns. It’s always best to have a well stocked assortment of flies with you.

Thanks for the selection tips. I've learned a lot from them!

Check back often as we are continually adding new fly patterns to our catalog and will update these tables accordingly.

If you need further help making a selection please email out fly tier and he’ll be happy to help you select the right patterns for your fly fishing pleasure.
